Reunion Tower is hosting the seventh annual fireworks celebration this year. It’s become a yearly tradition and starts the new year off right.
For us, fireworks are happy and exciting. They make you smile. Why not start off the new year smiling, happy and kissing loved ones?
For the third consecutive year, we named Children’s Health as the beneficiary of the fireworks show. Kids love fireworks. And kids in the hospital need hope, and we hope this celebration in their honor gives them that. Plus, we wanted to support the mission of Children’s Health to make life better for children in any way we can.
We try to take the show a little more over the top every year. We start planning the show on Jan. 2, no joke. It takes a lot of work to make this a reality, but it’s worth it to present this to the community.
We shoot the fireworks from 54 firing stations on Reunion Tower. In addition, we have 259 LED lights that can create literally millions of effects. Last year, we added drones to the show, and this year, we’re aiming to double the number of drones, potentially making it the largest drone show in the country.
The celebration is our gift to the city. When you hear that crackle, pop and then BOOM, fireworks make you feel like a kid again.
